This isn’t the John Galt you are familiar with – the John Galt of tomorrow as created by the mind of Ayn Rand. This is the John Galt of today.

Today, the societal problems we face may not appear vastly different from the ones described by Ayn Rand in Atlas Shrugged and that is because they aren’t. But there is one key difference. In Atlas Shrugged, the world was slowly taken captive by the collective, like a cancer that spreads quietly, one cell at a time, until it has discarded all functioning organs of its host before the victim realizes the virus’ presence. In history, this formula may have been the case in places around the world, but it is not true here, in this time or this place.

At one point in Atlas Shrugged, Francisco d’Anconia speaks to Hank Rearden of the tipping point in the collectivist movement occurring a couple generations prior to their existence. He says that if there had been an uprising against the loss of individual liberty in the name of the “common good” then the world they lived in could have been prevented – the world of the slavery of the producer. We are that generation.

We must stand and fight against this movement. Americans have heard the call and over the last two years they have cried out with their displeasure over the growth government. But the stand must not end now.

I see two future worlds: one where the individuals fight for their freedom today and keep it for tomorrow, and one where the individuals stand by and let the collective take control and lose the world of tomorrow. The second world can only be cured by Ayn Rand’s John Galt – the John Galt of Tomorrow, the first world can and will exist, if we each own our lives, and own our country. It’s a battle that cannot be won by one John Galt. It’s a battle that requires us each, individually to become John Galt.

Own your life. John Galt Now!
